International Degree Foundation (IDF) is an alternative route for students to study part of their international degree year in reputable Nigerian Universities and later continue their studies overseas (1+3 and 2+2). The programme is designed as an independent academic program under the University Collaboration, Partnership & Exchanges. Students will undertake their 100 to 200 level of studies in affiliated University in Nigeria and be eligible for automatic transfer to 2nd or 3rd year of studies at reputable overseas Universities with upto 50% Scholarship. Applicant requires no UTME or JAMB as applicant is expected to continue studies at foreign universities where the final degree certificate will be awarded upon successful completion of the remaining academic sessions. WAEC and NECO results can be combined to meet the entry requirement of 5 credits. Admission Periods: Three times in a year- Spring (February), Summer (June), Fall (October) Why IDF is a unique program in Nigeria? Flexibility of Entry Requirements: Five (5) credits including English and Mathematics. Pass in Mathematics is acceptable for Law. No need for English Literature for Law. NECO/WAEC/GCE/NABTEB is acceptable at no more than 2 sittings. NECO and WAEC or GCE can be combined. However, applicant should not be more than 26 years old. Applicant does not require UTME, JAMB or Post-UTME for enrollment. There is no admission quota system. Applicant will select desired University in Nigeria and nothing will change it Applicant will choose preferred course and nothing will change it IDF result can be used anytime, it does not get expired Applicant can enroll anytime during the year because application form is open throughout the year Applicant progression to 200 or 300 level is certain upon successful completion of IDF in Nigeria. The level of transfer depends on the completed level in any Nigerian IDF Accredited University. There is no academic interruption while studying IDF Opportunity to have varieties of high reputable international universities Opportunity for scholarship of up to 50% tuition fees (note, scholarship covers tuition only) Some private Universities in Nigeria may accept student into 200 Level It gives a unique privileged to parents to spend less compared to if student will have to start his/her degree in foreign Universities. It gives under-age students the opportunity to start their degree program locally and get matured before travelling out of the country. Accredited, high reputable, and affordable foreign partner universities (e.g. Ghana, Kenya, Ethiopia, Northern Sudan, Benin, Schengen countries/Europe, China, Malaysia, Dubai (UAE), Vietnam, Philippines, Russia, Kyrgyzstan, Belarus, India, Mongolia, Cyprus, Dublin (Ireland), UK, USA, Canada, South America (Caribbean) etc. Visa and Immigration process are done by IDF Immigration Team and 100% guaranteed. Application for study visas are treated diplomatically. While studying in foreign partner universities, students are supervised regularly and report given to sponsors/parents periodically under the StudyCare Scheme. Upon completion of studies in foreign partner universities, students are mobilized into the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC). While studying in foreign partner universities, students may do part-time jobs. Student can pay tuition fees on installments Sponsors/Parents may pay tuition fees in local currencies (naira) while student is studying abroad Students are sent to secured and friendly countries. Sponsors/Parents can accompany students to foreign partner universities and visit anytime Upon successful completion of IDF in Nigeria, admission and transfer to foreign partner universities is free (i.e. there is no Admission Processing fee charges). Note that applicant is responsible for the payment of Visa fees and Flight ticket. In some countries, student travel with tuition fees and pay on arrival in campus.
